Some people think it's folly but I'd rather have the lolly! (ok, no, i don't.)
Yeah, ok, Miss Amanda realises she hasn't been updating and will thus proceed to remedy the situation with the following entry... exxxcept I don't really know what to update about o_o
Nanowrimo is going slow since I've been several days behind on my novelling, but at least it's up and running instead of vegetating away somewhere growing fuzz. I've got... 6,666 words on my total word count at the moment. ... Ha. Haha, that's... that's actually quite funny, haha. Ok. Right.
CCAAB camp was actually quite fun even though it was the main reason why I'm so behind on my novelling, the other being the multiple crew sessions and rehearsals for Arabian Nights (BUY TICKETS COME WATCH BUY TICKETS COME WATCH BUY TICKETS COME WATCH BUY WATCHES COME TICKET erh, wait no, that's not right). That and the H3 Lit selection task proposals, omg...
Ok, I gotta go off now, I shall come back and edit this entry some other time.
[edit:]
Nice when I decide I'd like to buy a book that I've read before from the bookstore, they suddenly don't stock it T_T I mean, I've been going to Borders and Kino all year and they've always stocked at least ONE copy of "I, Lucifer" but I never bought it then cos I'd read it already and didn't really see a need to buy it. But then after researching about it for my H3 Lit selection task proposals, I was suddenly seized with the overwhelming compulsion to buy it. And so I went to Borders yesterday with my 30% discount coupon, only to find that they didn't have it.
me: Hi, do you have "I, Lucifer" by Glen Duncan?
information counter guy: Oh, "I, Lucifer", I've read that, it's a good book. (looks it up on his computer) Oh, sorry, we've run out of stock.
me: Ok, do you have "American Psycho" by Bret Easton Ellis?
information counter guy: (weird look) O-kaaay, you have very interesting taste in books...
me: (smiles politely)
information counter guy: Sorry, no, we don't stock that.
me: (swears cheerfully and goes off to rant to vivien)
... HONESTLY T_T And when I went to Kino, HADADADADA they don't have the books either! So I bought "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman at Borders yesterday (since the coupon expires on the 15th. which is today.) and I didn't get to use my $15 Kino vouchers from last year's Christmas. I bet these bookstores keep tabs on me. Every time they have any sales or discount coupons, they set their mind-reading satellites on me to pre-empt when I'll go down to buy certain books, and then before I go down they gather all their staff and hide all the books I want. They probably have underground bunkers for that.
Currently Reading: The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky Wah, I haven't read anything this long since The Lord of the Rings. It's as thick as an anaconda...
