We ask ourselves the same thing every day...
Yesterday was Chiong Art Day for me and Meranda, and we actually got quite a lot done too! We were supposed to meet at Vivo at 11am, but I was about 20 mins late cos I took the wrong bus from home =_= My original plan was to take a bus to Clementi station, then take the train down to Harbourfront, but I boarded 75 (guess i remembered the bus routes wrongly) and it didn't go to Clementi so I was like, "Aah, shit, now what." Well. Most buses are bound to stop at an MRT station somewhere, and 75 seemed to be going in vaguely the right direction from what I saw of the road signs we passed. I waited quite long and we STILL hadn't stopped at a train station, so when the bus passed a building that said something like Centre for Forensics, I thought to myself, "Ok, this is a sign that you should stop at the next bus-stop. Just get down and check the bus route charts there." And so I did. And that stop was exactly the stop outside Outram Park station, hahaha! I only had to take one train stop to get to Vivo from there, hurrah! :D
And so we chionged x_x I think we were at the Pacific Coffee Company cafe for about 4+ hours, sitting at our little corner table with the unplugged lamp (they had tableside lamps around the place and we needed a powerpoint for Meranda's lightbox, so I just unplugged it with my amazing sleight of hand and Meranda deftly stabbed her lightbox thing in, haha), drawing prep work after prep work after prep work. It was agony. Productive, but agony #_# We met Elizabeth and Sharyl for awhile, cos they were going to watch National Treasure 2 at GV around 4+. Darn, I want to watch that too, but alas! art calls. This reminds me of a conversation I had with Sarah-Ann outside the school gate when we left AC after a day of chionging art (on CHRISTMAS EVE no less):
sarah: *despairingly* why did i leave all this until the last week of holidays?
me: *more despairingly* we ask ourselves the same thing every day...
But after chionging art, we felt so accomplished that we decided to reward ourselves with a trip to Candy Empire and Superdog! Yay! :) I got my first ever bag of assorted candy from Candy Empire and they sold it at $3.80 per 100gm so I had to be very frugal about the way I selected my candy =_= Anyhow took a few here and there, then went to the counter to weigh my bag and guess what! It weighed EXACTLY 100gm on the dot! I was astonished :O And the chocolates were good :) The chilli cheese fries at Superdog are super too, next time I go Vivo, I know what to eat, haha... Meranda and I are now trying to figure out the list of ingredients (according to the Superdog tray papers, there are 16 in all) that go into the making of their super chilli. Maybe DT knows since he apparently makes pretty good chilli too, so we shall badger him when school reopens.
Ok, I'm going to chiong art alone now. I wish I had a portable lightbox of my own too :( It's so annoying, having to use the window panes as makeshift lightboxes. After only 5 minutes of it, I feel like I'm paralysed from the neck up...
