Hngeh...

You know, every time I edit an entry here on Diaryland (sounds so foreign to all of you mainstreamers right? DIARYLAND. you and all your blogspots and bloggers and xangas and wordpresses and livejournals, behold my non-conformity! >:D or, more's the case, my utter laziness to get a new blog), I always have to pay attention the html coding. It's such a pain to edit entries on Diaryland, so because I am a lazy ass who doesn't believe in the long-term benefits of getting a new blog, I will just continue using Diaryland and NOT edit my entries but rather just keep adding and adding and adding. So there.

I think this blog is about 5 years old already o_o I remember I first registered for it in Sec 1. Nothing makes you feel more embarrassed than going through your old diary/blog entries and realising how stupid and annoying you were in the past. But I suppose when we're all grown-up, mature adults with grown-up, mature things to do, we shall look back on all the frivolities of our youth and cringe in grown-up, mature embarrassment.

Sure...

Ah well, back to my rather eventful CNY yesterday. We went over to my granma's house to bai nian and as my previous entry stated, I was locked in a room with 3 hyperactive kids, plenty of stuff for them to mess up and throw about, and absolutely NOTHING to distract me or ease my craving for pineapple tarts. There was my 9-soon-to-be-10-year-old sister, my little cousin Shane (whose age I know not), and his little brother Ryan. So, since there was a mattress and plenty of pillows around, they decided it would be fun to make me be a monster who was confined to staying on the mattress zone and whose only purpose in life was to catch said little kids and tickle them if I managed to get them before they ran to their safety no-mattress zones. Yes, behold Amanda Jie-Jie the Tickle Monster. The very lethargic Tickle Monster, since I am a perpetual sufferer of jetlag and become zombified come daylight. But I managed to catch every single one of the little buggers and gave them their due tickles. Then there was the pillow fighting, the catching, the hide-and-seeking, and the let's-all-pretend-to-be-power-rangers (i was an evil power ranger and hurrah, ryan wanted to be on my team so HAH! take that, good vs evil, we're EVEN. i can't believe my own sister betrayed me!). Then I actually had to do drawing that did not involve my art project, omg. Shane and Ryan made me draw picture after picture for them. Ryan wanted me to draw MRTs and trains and Thomas the Tank Engine, Shane was obsessed with setting up a trading scheme with me. I draw something for him, he draw something for me. Multiply this process by like, I dunno, TEN THOUSAND?? I wanted to cry already, when my aunt showed up, I gave her my look of suffering and mouthed, "JIU MING!" but she just laughed and went to take very very long to eat her lunch. Yeah. Relatives like that... But I managed to nap awhile! Shane was very nice, he gave me the green pillow cos I told him I liked the colour green, and then he made me close my eyes and put a blanket on me. And I was so exhausted, I conked out there and then x_X Then the moment I woke up, Shane was like, "Ok, you can draw another picture for me now!" and I was like, "Eeeuuuuuurghhhhhh..." So I drew. And drew. And drew. Wah, Shane. You can be an art teacher when you grow up, the way you slave-drive... (Ok, I didn't say that. I DIDN'T SAY THAT.)

Finally, the time came for me to leave. They asked if I could stay over and sleep with them but I was like, "Aaah, I have to go home cos I got homework unlike you little carefree-for-now buggers." So I left and my aunt was supposed to give us a lift home, but then we got a call from Shane and Ryan's mum saying to wait at the lobby because Shane was crying and wanted to come all the way down to the carpark to give me his drawings. I was so touched!! Ryan came down too, haha. And to add to everything, there was a kitten stuck somewhere inside my aunt's car. I kid you not, there was a kitten. Stuck inside. My aunt's car. Somewhere. We could hear it meowing and everyone was like o_O!!! There was a Malay family there too, we were all panicking and trying to find the kitten and get it out but it was too damn dark to see. They brought down a torchlight, still couldn't find it. We looked under the car, under the hood, no kitten. But we were sure we heard it meowing! Then I knelt down near the front right tyre and made cat noises and it responded! o_O I was so shocked, but I continued making the cat noises so that it could meow back and we could vaguely determine where the hell it was. My uncle and cousin tried to jack the car up to check under it cos we were pretty sure it was stuck somewhere near the front right tyre, but I never did find out if they got the kitten out cos my mum was rushing to get home and we had to take a taxi instead. Aaah, I hope it didn't die! 8(
