They all look like THIIIS!!!
Today was a milestone day in my life because I went girly shopping with Debs at Bugis Village and, for the first time ever, BOUGHT A PAIR OF PANTS THAT I CHOSE MYSELF. Ok, they're the black cargo pants that I need for SYF crew, but still! I chose them! I tried them on! And I bought them! Plus it's not bad cos they're actually quite comfortable and I can wear them next time instead of all the pants and jeans I have at home, which were all chosen and bought by the likes of my mother, aunts and granma. I appreciate it, I really do, but erh...
Me: I need to get new pants.
Debs: Eh why? Not enough?
Me: Because my mom and granma buy jeans for me and they all look like (violently swings around to indicate flower pattern embroidered down length of jeans) THIIIS!!!
Debs: (bursts into maniacal laughter)
Me: Thanks ah, THANKS.
... Yah. FEEL MY MISERY, drowning in floral-patterned clothing, even some of my shirts aren't spared. One day I will do a photo inventory of them and you will see the extent to which I suffer for being born a girl.
So after hunting around for Debs' ideal pair of black pumps (WHY ARE YOU SO PICKY HUH), we finally managed to fight our way out of the crowds and heat into cool airconditioned bliss and tried to revive half-dead feet by sitting at Rockery and undergoing intensive rehydration on bubble tea. It felt so surreal, walking out of there carrying a shopping bag I wasn't carrying when I went in. The only time I ever experience that is when I go on my book sale rampages whenever the discount coupons are out, hahaha. Yes ok I am a geek, but books will always be my first love <3 One day I will get my own place and devote an entire room to my library, even if it means having to sleep on the couch.
