Growing up is horribly overrated
I went on a spontaneous walk today! I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, just going out for a walk without any plans and anyone to walk with, but it was quite excite, I must say, haha! This is the first time I've been allowed to just walk out the front door without going through a detailed plan of what who where when how why with my mum. But the weather was too nice (lots of wind and, best of all, NO HEAT STROKE SUN) and I was too irritated bumming around at home, so while my mum was on the phone, I quickly got changed, packed some stuff and ran out the door like I'M GOING FOR A WALK DOWNSTAIRS KTHXBAI! Haha, my infamous Blitzkrieg technique, yes. First rule is to always catch your victims off-guard. It was like that with the South Africa trip last year too. At first when I asked if I could go for the trip, she was like EEE AFRICA NO GOT AIDS YOU WILL DIE YOU CANNOT GO. Some weeks later, I had the cheque written, attended the necessary briefings and vaccination exercise, my things packed and BYE MA I'M GOING TO SOUTH AF KTHXBAI! Behold, the power of my Blitzkrieg technique! >:D
So yes, I went for a walk with zero plans. Not even a destination in mind. I ended up walking to the old Bukit Timah firestation, which has been converted into some new media arts hub. It even has a gastrobar with drinks! :) But at that time, it was just getting opened, so I sat on a small porch swing thing and watched them set up. I think I weirded them out a bit :/ Then I explored the place and walked back home to gym, YES GYM. Sedentary lifestyle + previous snacking while studying = much boredom and phat guilt. Then later went down to the koi pond to feed the koi (nom nom) and sat down by the pool to read. As I said, very excite, haha! Must do this more often. I have a lot of repressed spontaneity.
On a separate note, I think Focus on the Family is a huge joke. "It's not about trust, it's about protection." HAHA AS IF, YOU ARE ALL CONTROL FREAKS PLEASE STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND PASSING IT ON TO YOUR KIDS.
